P309.51-M na halaga ng shabu, nasamsam sa unang 30 araw ni Cascolan bilang PNP chief

Tinatayang aabot sa P309.51 milyon ang halaga ng nasamsam na shabu sa ikinasang anti-illegal drugs operations sa unang 30 araw sa panunungkulan ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Camilo Cascolan.

Sa press briefing, araw ng Lunes (October 5), sinabi ni Cascolan na nakuha ang nasabing halaga ng ilegal na droga sa 4,247 operations kung saan nakumpiska ang 45.52 kilo ng shabu at naaresto ang 5,552 drug suspects.

Mula September 2 hanggang October 1, nagkasa pa ang PNP ng police operations kasama ang patrol operations, checkpoints, at guncheck operations.

Nagresulta aniya ito sa pagkakaaresto sa 5,906 katao, narekober na 1,432 loose firearms at 9,248 recovered motor vehicles sa buwan ng Setyembre.

“These are the results of the PNP Operational Strategy of Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) that widened the concept of anti-criminality with regular law enforcement activities through police presence and focused law enforcement operations, crime investigation and solution, security measures through target hardening, border control, social investigation, community partnership, proper deployment of resources; and public affairs through the quad media to promote public awareness and community support,” pahayag ng PNP chief.

Matatandaang nagsimulang manungkulan bilang hepe ng pambansang pulisya si Cascolan noong September 2.
