July 17 ng kada taon idineklarang Physiatry Day ng Malakanyang
Idineklara ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang July 17 ng kada taon bilang “National Physiatry Day.”
Sa Proclamation No. 1017 na nilagdaan ng pangulo, nakasaad na ang musculoskeletal conditions ang “second largest contributor” sa pagkakaroon ng disability ng isang tao sa buong mundo.
“Given the growing number of patients with rehabilitation needs in the country, there is a need to strengthen support in providing access and affordable medication and rehabilitation to them by raising awareness and encouraging collaboration among relevant stakeholders,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte.
Inatasan ni Pangulong Duterte ang Department of Health (DOH) na pangunahan ang pagtukoy sa mga proyekto para sa taunang paggunita sa National Physiatry Day.
Hinimok din ng pangulo ang iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno at local government units na i-promote ang mga programa para sa paggunita ng National Physiatry Day.
