Mga sementeryo sa Cebu City, sarado rin mula October 31 hanggang November 3

Katulad ng ilang lungsod sa bansa, pansamantala na ring isasara ang lahat ng sementeryo sa Cebu City.

Base sa pinirmahang Executive Order No. 092 ni Mayor Edgar Labella, isasara ang lahat ng pribado at pampublikong sementeryo, memorial parks, at kolumbaryo mula October 31 hanggang November 3.

Paliwanag ng alkalde, layon lamang nitong maiwasan ang pagsisiksikan ng mga dadalaw sa mga yumanong mahal sa buhay sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Nananatili aniyang prayoridad ng Cebu City government ang kaligtasan ng publiko.

“Interment and cremation services provided by public and private memorial parks, cemeteries, and columbaries shall be allowed to continue with the abovementioned dates,” nakasaad pa sa EO.

Sinumang lumabag sa nasabing kautusan ay maaaring bawian ng Mayor’s Permit at Business Permit.

Sinabi naman ni Labella na nauunawaan niya ang kahalagahan sa publiko na mabisita ang mga yumaong mahal sa buhay tuwing Araw ng mga Patay.

Ito aniya ang rason kung kaya maaga niyang inilabas ang direktiba upang mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang publiko na makabisita sa sementeryo maliban sa mga nabanggit na petsa.
