Mga korte pwede nang mag-isyu ng e-warrants

Maari nang magpalabas ng warrant of arrest sa pamamagitan ng online.

Kahapon inilunsad ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at ng Korte Suprema ang “E-Warrant System.”

Sa ilalim nito, pinapayagan ng Korte Suprema ang digital na pag-transmit ng warrant of arrest sa PNP na kanilang gagamitin sa pagdakip sa mga suspek.

Bahagi ito ng mga ipinatupad na pagbabago ng judikatura simula nang magpatupad ng lockdown dahil sa COVID-19.

Una ay nagkaroon ng “e-inquests” at online court hearings.

Kahapon din naipalabas ang unang e-warrant na inisyu ni Judge Maria Gracia Cadiz-Casaclang ng Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 155 kaugnay sa isang kasong qualified theft.

Sa ilalim ng e-Warrant System automated na ang pag-iisyu ng arrest warrants ng mga korte para mas maging mabilis ang serbisyo.

Target ang full implementation nito sa bago matapos ang taon.

Kung saan lahat ng 2,600 na korte ay 1,900 police stations sa bansa ay isasailalim sa online training sa paggamit ng sistema.
