White sand sa Manila Bay idinepensa ng DENR

Nagpaliwanag ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa mga batikos kasunod ng paglalagay ng white sand sa Manila Bay.

Ayon kay Undersecretary Benny Antiporda, sa pamamagitan nito, magiging kaaya-ayang tignan ang Manila Bay at marahil hindi na ito tatapunan ng basura.

Bahagi aniya ito ng kampanya para hindi na dumihan pa ang Manila Bay.

Binatikos ang hakbang pamahalaan na paglalagay ng white sand sa Manila Bay na ibinyahe pa mula Cebu.

Ayon sa mga kritiko, inuna pa itong gawin gayong mayroong pandemic ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

Ang pondo para sa white sand ay galing sa P389 million Manila Bay beach nourishment project fund.
