US nagpadala ng aircraft carrier sa South China Sea
Ipinadala na ng United States Navy ang supercarrier nito kasama ang iba pang destroyers at cruisers patungo sa South China Sea.
Patungo na ngayon sa pinag-aagawang teritoryo sa South China Sea ang USS supercarrier John C. Stennis, dalawang destroyers, dalawnag cruisers at ang US 7th Fleet flagship.
Ang “strike group” ng US ay panibagong show of force sa rehiyon kasabay ng nagpapatuloy na mga aktibidad ng China sa mga lugar na sakop ng territorial dispute.
Ayon sa military officials ng US, nasa biyahe na ngayon ang Stennis, at ang cruisers na Antietam at Mobile Bay, gayundin ang dalawang destroyer na Chung-Hoon at Stockdale.
Ang command ship Blue Ridge, na floating headquarters ng Japan-based 7th Fleet, ay kasama din sa “strike group” na nakatakda ring dumaong sa Pilipinas.
Una nang iniulat ng Reuters na ang Pilipinas, Amerika, Japan at India ay magsasagawa ng joint military exercises malapit mismo sa pinag-agagawang teritoryo sa South China Sea.
Ayon kay US Pacific Command chief Admiral Harry Harris, gagawin ang pagsasanay sa northern Philippines.
