Nagpositibo sa COVID-19 si Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.
Kinumpirma ito mismo ng gobernador sa pamamagitan ng inilbas na pahayag.
Aniya, sumailalim siya sa swab test makaraang magpositibo ang dalawang staff ng Office of the Governor sa nakakahawang sakit.
Lumabas aniya sa resulta ng kaniyang swab test na positibo siya sa COVID-19.
Sinabi naman ni Contreras na asymptomatic siya o walang nararamdamang sintomas ng sakit.
Kasunod nito, ipinag-utos ng gobernador sa Provincial Health Office at Provincial COVID-19 Task Force na isailalim sa isolation ang lahat ng kaniyang nakasalamuha.
“I am also calling on all those who had close contact with me since Wednesday, August 19, 2020 to please isolate or quarantine yourself and submit RT-PCR test with the Provincial Health Office,” pahayag pa nito.
Ipinag-utos din nito sa lahat ng kaniyang staff na nagkaroon ng exposure sa kaniya na gawin din ang nasabing proseso.
Tiniyak naman ni Contreras na nakikipag-ugnayan siya sa mga doktor para sa mga gagawing clinical protocols at medical monitoring.
Kahit naka-home quarantine, patuloy aniya niyang pamumunuan ang probinsya.
“Health security and safety protocols are now being finalized to enable me to function with the help of our Provincial Administrator performing delegated administrative functions along with the other department and office heads,” dagdag pa nito.
Nagpaalala rin si Contreras na sundin ang safety protocols para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.
