China binuweltahan ni Defense Sec. Lorenzana sa “provocations statement”

Ibinato pabalik ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana sa China ang pahayag na may hakbang ang Pilipinas sa South China Sea na kanilang ikinagagalit.

Ayon kay Lorenzana, walang ‘illegal provocations’ dahil ang inaangkin teritoryo ng China s South China Sea ay nasa loob mismo ng exclusive economic zone (EEZ) ng Pilipinas at ito ay nasa West Philippine Sea.

Nagbigay ng pahayag ang China dahil sa pagsasagawa ng Pilipinas ng ‘aerial patrol’ sa mga pinag-aagawang bahagi kung saan ilegal na nagtayo ng mga imprastraktura ang China.

“Illegal provocations? That area is within our EEZ. Their so-called historical rights over an area enclosed by their nine-line doesn’t exist except in their imaginations,” diin ng kalihim.

Pagdidiin nito ang pagpapatrulya ng mga eroplano at barko ng Pilipinas ay sa loob lang ng teritoryo ng bansa, gayundin ang mga aktibidad ng mga mangingisdang Filipino.

“Our fishermen are within our EEZ and likewise our ships and planes conduct patrol sorties within our area. They (China) are the ones who have been doing provocations by illegally occupying some features within our EEZ. Hence they have no right to claim they are enforcing their laws,” giit pa ni Lorenzana.

Noong nakaraang linggo, naghain ng diplomatic protest ang Department of Foreign Affairs laban sa China dahil sa ilegal na pagkumpiska ng mga gamit ng mga mangigisdang Filipino sa Scarborough Shoal.
