Panukala upang gawing libre ang annual check-up ng mga Filipino, lusot na sa komite sa Kamara

Pasado na sa House Committee on Health ang panukala upang gawing libre ang annual medical check-up ng mga Filipino.

Sa ilalim ng inaprubahang substitute bill, sasagutin ng PhilHealth ang basic annual medical check-up sa mga government hospitals at institutions.

Kabilang dito ang blood sugar at cholesterol tests.

Ang pondo na gagamitin dito ay manggagaling sa total revenue ng PhilHealth.

Nakasaad din sa inaprubahang panukala na maaari itong madagdagan batay sa financial capability ng PhilHealth.

Ayon kay Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor, may-akda ng panukala, sa kasalukuyan ay target-based ang programa ng PhilHealth para sa libreng medical checkup alinsunod sa itinatakda ng Universal Health Care Law.

Ito ang nais aniya nilang baguhin sa ilalim ng kanyang panukala, upang sa gayon ay gawing available para sa lahat ang libreng basic annual medical check-up.
