Pondo sa inaprubahang Bayanihan 2 pinangangambahang magamit sa 2022 elections

Nababahala si Deputy Minority Leader at Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate na magamit ang Bayanihan 2 para sa dagdag na kapangyarihan at pondo ng Malakanyang at gamitin sa kampanya ng mga kaalyado ng pamahalaan para sa nalalapit na halalan sa 2022.

Ayon kay Zarate, dapat ay isapubliko muna ang pinagka-gastusan o mga pinaglaanan sa P3.7T 2020 national budget bago sana pagkatiwalaan sa malaking halaga sa ilalim ng Bayanihan 2 na may P162 Billion na pondo.

Hindi anya dapat na ituring ang Bayanihan 2 na “recovery” fund dahil hindi pa naman talaga gumagaling ang bansa sa naunang Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

Kinuwkestyon ng kongresista ang pagapruba sa isang panibagong bersyon ng panukala gayong hindi naman aniya naging epektibo at nagamit sa dapat na paggamitan ang Bayanihan 1.

Hindi rin aniya ginagarantiya ng Bayanihan 2 ang full-funding para sa mass testing ng mga vulnerable sectors kabilang ang mga healthcare frontliners at mga taong nagkaroon ng contact sa mga may COVID-19.

Sabi ni Zarate, hindi epektibo ng contact-tracing strategy ng pamahalaan at ang napipintong pag-collapse ng ating health-care system.
