50 opisyal ng barangay sususpindehin dahil sa anomalya sa pamamahagi ng SAP

Limampung opisyal ng barangay ang nakatakdang isailalim sa preventive suspension dahil sa anomalya sa pamamahagi ng cash aid sa ilalim ng Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

Ayon kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, ang 50 ay kabilang sa 155 na inireklamo ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Sa pulong ng IATF kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, binanggit ni Año na ang mga reklamo laban sa mga opisyal ng barangay ay malversation, corruption, estafa, at iba pang graft-related anomalies.

Nakikipag-ugnayan na si Año kay Ombudsman Samuel Martires kaugnay sa kaso.

Inaasahang ngayong linggo, maglalabas ng preventive suspension order ang Office of the Ombudsman habang ginagawa ang imbestigasyon sa kaso.

Ayon kay Año, sa 50 opisyal, 13 ay mula sa Metro Manila, 13 din mula sa Ilocos, 10 mula sa Cagayan Valley, 3 mula sa Central Luzon, at 11 mula sa Calabarzon.
