DFA magpapadala ng chartered flight sa Lebanon
Magkakaroon ng repatriation flight ang Department of Foreign Affairs para maiuwi ang mga Pinoy na nasa Lebanon.
Ayon sa DFA Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs, iuuwi din ang mga labi ng apat na Pinoy na nasawi sa pagsabog sa Beirut.
“The President heard the clamor of our kababayans. This chartered flight is the most concrete, immediate and timely assistance that the Department of Foreign Affairs could provide given the current situation in Lebanon,” ayon kay DFA Undersecretary Sarah Lou Y. Arriola.
Sinabi ni Arriola na bago pa ang pandemic ng COVId-19 ay inumpisahan na ang proseso ng pagpapauwi sa mga OFW sa Lebanon.
Noong December 2019 ay mayroong 1,508 na Pinoy na napauwi na sa bansa.
