P80-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo at face masks, nasabat ng BOC

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang P80 milyong halaga ng mga smuggled na sigarilyo at face masks sa Bulacan.

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na pirmado ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, ni-raid ng Enforcement and Security Services Quick Reaction Team (ESS-QRT) at Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) ang isang warehouse sa bahagi ng Barangay Sta. Rosa sa Marilao, araw ng Miyerkules (August 5).

Katuwang ng BOC sa operasyon ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Nadiskubre sa warehouse ang 1000 master cases ang mga smuggled na sigarilyo kung saan kabilang ang Marlboro premium cigarettes at iba pa.

Nakuha rin ng mga otoridad ang 648 kahon ng mga pekeng N95 masks kung saan kinopya ang disenyo at logo mula sa mga kilalang luxury fashion brands.

Dinala ang mga nakuhang sigarilyo at face masks sa ESS Security Coral sa Port of Manila para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon.
