Hotel rooms sa Metro Manila uubusin para magamit bilang isolation facility sa COVID-19 patients

Hindi mag-aatubili ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang na ubusin ang lahat ng hotel rooms sa Metro Manila para gamiting isolation facility sa mga magpopositibo sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, ito ay dahil sa wala pa namang turismo dahil nasa modified enhanced community quarantine ang Metro Manila.

Ayon kay Roque, natural na tataas ang kaso ng COVID-19 dahil pinaigting na ng pamahalaan ang testing at contact tracing.

Ayon kay Roque, sa ngayon 2,000 hotel
hooms na ang ginagamit para sa isolation sa mga asymptomatic at mild cases ng COVID-19.

“So—at siyempre po, nagpapagawa po tayo ng mas maraming isolation centers. Kinukuha na po natin ang mga available hotels rooms habang wala pa naman po tayong turismo. Ngayon po may 2,000 rooms na tayo at hindi po tayo mag-aatubili na ubusin lahat ng hotel rooms sa Metro Manila kung kinakailangan dahil alam natin na kapag tayo ay nagpaigting ng tracing, dapat talaga ma-isolate iyong mga positives kung sila ay mild at asymptomatic,” ayon kay Roque

Madadagdagan na rin aniya ng 250 ang ICU bed capacity sa East Avenue Medical Center.

Dadagdaggan na rin aniya ang ICU bed sa Quirino Memorial Hospital at sa isa pang hindi pinangalanang ospital.

Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin aniya ang pamahalaan sa Philippine General Hospital kung maaring i-convert ang kanilang ward bilang ICU bed para sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19.
