Economic Stimulus package dapat nang talakayin ng ecomomic managers ng pamahalaan

Hinikayat ni House Deputy Majority Leader Bernadette Herrera ang mga economic managers ng Duterte administration na talakayin na economic stimulus package kasama silang mga mambabatas.

Ayon kay Herrera, “long-overdue” na ito at nahuhuli na aniya ang Pilipinas sa ibang mga bansa na nagsusulong ng isang stimulus package para tulungang makabangon ang ekonomiya lalo pa at may mga negosyo na, partikular na ang mga micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), ang tuluyang nagsara.

Handa naman aniyang makinig ang Senado at Kamara, at cooperative rin, para sa kung ano mang ang ninanais ng mga economic managers para sa laban kontra COVID-19 at para matulungan ding makabangon at masindihan ang ekonoiya.

Ayon kay Herrera, “It’s been more than four months since the first COVID-19 lockdown was imposed by the government and yet, we have yet to approve and carry out a stimulus package that was supposed to energize the economy and help businesses and workers affected by COVID-19.”

Bago pa man mag-adjourn sine die ang Kongreso noong nakaraang buwan, ilang mahahalagang panukalang batas na mahalaga para sa laban ng pamahalaan kontra COVID-19 pandemic ang inaprubahan ng Senado at Kamara.

Lusot na sa Senado ang Bayanihan II, habang sa Kamara naman ay aprubado na ang P1.3 trillion economic stimulus package o ang Accelerated Recovery and Investments Stimulus for the Economy (ARISE) bill.
