Bilang ng mga tauhan ng coast guard na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, 365 na

Umakyat na sa 365 ang bilang ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Sa nasabing bilang, 109 na ang naka-recover sa sakit habang 256 pa ang aktibong kaso.

Sa kabila ng pagtaas ng bilang ng mga coast guard personnel na nagpopositibo sa sakit tiniyak ni Vice Admiral George Ursabia Jr. sa publiko na tuluy-tuloy ang serbisyo ng coast guard partikular ang kanilang frontline service sa laban ng gobyerno sa COVID-19.

“At this time, we cannot afford to totally pull out to rest and recuperate. We will have to hold the line and do whatever it takes to render service, even if it entails the ultimate sacrifice for that is what we swore to when we took our oath. They are no longer just words uttered as a matter of formalities, but a commitment to the nation,” ayon kay Ursabia.

Tiniyak din ni Ursabia na nai-pull out na lahat sa kanilang stations ang mga infected na tauhan.

Una dito ay iniutos ni Ursabia sa PCG Task Force Bayanihan ang pagsasagawa ng regular swab tests para masigurong ligtas ang kanilang frontline personnel.

Pinatitiyak din na sila ay may suplay ng vitamins, PPE sets, at iba pang medical supplies.
