3 nurse ikinulong sa unit sa isang condo building sa QC; building officials kinasuhan ng NBI

Nagsampa ng reklamong illegal detention ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) laban sa mga opisyal at security personnel ng isang condominium tower sa Quezon City matapos na pigilang makalabas ang tatlong nurse sa kanilang condominium unit.

Ang mga kinasuhan ay sina Mel Tosco – Property Manager/Administrative Head ng Victoria Towers Condominium; Napoleon Briñas – Head, Security Management ng San Jose Builders Inc.; Atty. Jerich Jucaban, – Vice-President, SJBI; Security Guard na si Sadat Macabanding at limang iba pa.

Ayon sa imbestigasyon, nakatanggap ng reklamo ang NBI-Special Action Unit (NBI-SAU) mula sa tatlong nurse matapos silang ilegal na i-confine sa kanilang condominium unit ng mula noong June 22, 2020.

Ito ay sa kabila ng pagpapakita na ng tatlong nurse ng kanilang medical clearances na nagpapatunay na sila ay COVID-free at fit na magbalik sa trabaho.

Kahit nagtungo na ang mga tauhan ng NBI sa Victoria Towers, nanindigan ang mga opisyal nito na hindi palabasin ng unit ang tatlong nurse dahil kailangan pa umano ng clearance mula sa barangay.

Pero mismong ang barangay official na ang nagsabi na hindi kailangan ng clearance mula sa kanila.

Doon na umakyat sa 9th floor ng gusali ang mga tauhan ng NBI para i-rescue ang tatlong complainants.

Kasong Serious Illegal Detention ang kinaharap ng mga respondent sa ilalim ng Article 267 ng Revised Penal Code.
