Senado handa sa 2nd special session sa COVID-19 crisis – Sen. Migs Zubiri

Sa ngalan ng mga kapwa senador, tiniyak ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na handa ang Senado na magdaos muli ng special session para sa pagpasa ng Bayanihan to Heal as One 2.

Paalala lang ni Zubiri nakalusot na sa second reading ang resolusyon para sa extension ng nag-expire na batas ngunit hindi naman ito sinertipikahan na ‘urgent’ ni Pangulong Duterte kaya’t inabot na lang ito ng sine die adjournment ng Kongreso.

Bilang mga mambabatas aniya batid nila ang kanilang mandato kaya’t sakaling magpatawag ang Malakanyang ng special session ay tatalima sila.

Dagdag pa ni Zubiri napakahalaga ng naturang batas para tugunan ng gobyerno ang lahat ng mga pangangailangan ngayon nagpapatuloy ang pandemiya dala ng 2019 corona virus.

Hirit lang nito sa Ehekutibo, ilatag na ang mga partikular nilang kahilingan para agad nang matalakay ang pagpapalawig ng batas at walang mahahalagang panahon ang masayang.
