Steam inhalation, wala pang scientific evidence na nakakapatay ng COVID-19 – DOH

Nagbigay ng paglilinaw ang Department of Health (DOH) ukol sa steam inhalation o paglanghap ng steam bilang gamot sa COVID-19.

Sa press briefing, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na wala pang scientific evidence na nagpapatunay na nakakapatay ang steam inhalation o “tuob” ng COVID-19.

Nagpaparami rin aniya ito ng secretion sa ilong na posibleng makahawa ng sakit sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahing o pag-ubo ng isang tao.

Sa mga nais magtuloy nito, nagpaalala si Vergeire na mag-ingat lalo na sa pagkasunog.

Sakaling manatili o lumala pa ang nararamdamang sintomas, sinabi ni Vergeire na dapat nang kumonsulta ng doktor.

Dagdag pa nito, epektibo pa ring paraan para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa pamamagitan ng paghuhugas ng kamay, pagsuot ng face masks, pagsunod sa social distancing, at pagtakip ng ilong at bibig tuwing uubo at babahing.
