Dr. Tony Leachon nagbitiw bilang adviser ng National Task Force against COVID-19

Nagbitiw na bilang adviser ng National Task Force against COVID-19 si Dr. Anthony Leachon.

Sa kaniyang post sa Twitter, inanunsyo ni Leachon na hindi na siya bahagi ng Special Adviser ng NTF.

Iginiit ni Leachon na mataas ang kaniyang respeto kay NTF Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. at mananatili silang magkaibigan.

Nagpasya umano siyang umalis sa NTF dahil may mga pananaw siyang hindi tumutugma sa polisiya ng Department of Health (DOH).

Binanggit ni Leachon ang kawalan ng “sense of urgency” ng DOH, mga problema sa COVID data management, at problema sa transparency sa communication process.

Una nang sinabi ni Leachon na pinagbitiw siya sa pwesto matapos ang kaniyang mga tweet tungkol sa pamamaraan ng DOH sa pagtugon sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Noon pa ay hayag na si Leachon sa pagsasabing dapat ay gawing real time ang pag-uulat ng pamahalaan sa COVID cases sa bansa.
