Higit 38,000 OFWs, nakauwi na sa mga lalawigan – DOTr
Umabot na sa 38,664 na overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang naasistihan sa ilalim ng ‘Hatid Probinsya para sa mga OFWs’ Program.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), naitala ang nasabing bilang ng mga napauwing OFW hanggang June 16.
Sa 38,664 OFWs, 11,331 ay naihatid sa pamamagitan ng land transport at 16,160 naman ang air transport simula May 25 hanggang June 16.
Samantala, 11,173 OFWs pa rin ang nakauwi naman via sea transport mula April 27 hanggang June 16.
Sa pagitan ng nasabing petsa, walang naging biyahe sa June 1, 3, 8, 12 at 15.
Pinangunahan ng DOTr ang naturang programa katuwang ang Office of the President, National Task Force Covid-19, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Office for Transportation Security (OTS), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
