128 Pinoy mula Turkey, nakauwi na ng Pilipinas

Balik-Pilipinas na ang 128 Filipino mula sa Turkey, ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Sinabi ng kagawaran na humingi ng tulong sa Philippine Embassy sa Ankara ang nasabing mga Pinoy para makauwi ng Pilipinas.

Inayos ng Turkish Airlines ang special flight (TK 4945) na umalis sa Istanbul International Airport noong June 10 at dumating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) araw ng Huwebes, June 11.

Matagumpay na na-repatriate ang mga Filipino sa tulong ng embahada at Philippine Consulate General sa Istanbul katuwang ang DFA sa Maynila at Turkish authorities.

Kabilang sa mga na-repatriate ang 69 land-based Filipino nationals kung saan 19 ang estudyante at 34 ang undocumented workers mula sa iba’t ibang probinsya sa Turkey.

56 naman ang sea-based workers na napababa mula sa iba’t ibang sea vessels na nakadaong sa mga pantalan sa Turkey.

Samantala, naiuwi na rin ang mga labi ng overseas Filipino na si Maria Biluan na nasawi noong May 20.
