Sen. Gordon naghahanap ng malinaw na COVID-19 policy sa gobyerno

Lumipas na ang apat na buwan nang ianunsiyo ng DOH ang unang kaso ng COVID 19 sa bansa at hinihimok ni Senator Richard Gordon ang gobyerno na magpalabas na ng malinaw na polisiya para labanan ang nakakamatay na sakit.

Kasabay nito, muling iginiit ni Gordon ang kahalagahan ng massive testing sa pakikidigma sa nakakamatay na sakit.

Aniya dapat unahin ang mga medical frontliners sa mga pribado at pampublikong pagamutan sa massive testing.

Ipinunto ang rekomendasyon ng World Health Organization na kahit 13 porsiyento ng kabuuang populasyon ng bansa ang ma-test.

Tumutulong na ang Philippine Red Cross sa pagsasagawa ng testing at ayon kay Gordon kapag nabuksan na ang lahat ng kanilang molecular laboratories ay aangat sa 22,000 ang magagawa nilang ma-test.

Sa 90,000 individuals na na-test ng PRC, 25 porsiyento ay mula sa Metro Manila LGUs.

“This is not good for our country. The government should make up its mind on this matter and the DOH and PhilHealth must get their act together on testing everybody. It seems deplorable that a very minor percentage of the Metro Manila population has been tested. At the same time, the number of people getting infected and worse, succumbing to the virus, keep increasing,” ayon sa namumuno sa PRC.

Dapat aniya ay magtulungan ang Inter Agency Task Force, DILG at MMDA para mas marami pang taga-Metro Manila ang ma-testing.
