JBC may napili nang pitong nominado para sa bakanteng pwesto sa SC
Pitong nominado ang isusumite ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa bakanteng pwesto sa Korte Suprema.
Ang mga nominado ng JBC ang pagpipilian ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa hihiranging bagong Supreme Court Associate Justice kapalit ng nagretiro na si Justice Andres Reyes.
Kabilang sa mga nominado ang sumusunod:
– Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez
– CA Associate Justice Japar B. Dimaampao
– CA Associate Justice Priscilla J. Baltazar Padilla
– CA Associate Justice Jhosep Y. Lopez
– CA Associate Justice Ramon A. Cruz
– CA Associate Justice Manuel M. Barrios
– CA Associate Justice Ricardo R. Rosario.
Nakatakda nang isumite ng JBC ang shortlist nito kay Pangulong Duterte.
Sa ilalim ng Saligang Batas, ang pangulo ay mayroong 90-araw simula noong May 11 na pagreretiro ni Reyes para makapagtala ng kapalit nito.
