US$500M na loan ng Pilipinas inaprubahan ng World Bank

Inaprubahan ng World Bank ang US$500 million na loan ng Pilipinas para makatulong sa pagtugon ng bansa sa pandemic ng COVID-19.

Ang loan ay sa ilalim ng Philippines Emergency COVID-19 Response Development Policy Loan na ang maturity ay sa looob ng 29 na taon at may grace period na 10.5 years.

Magagamit ang nasabing pondo para matulungan ang mga pamilyang labis na apektado ng pandemic.

Kabilang dito ang mga nawalan ng hanapbuhay o pagkakakitaan.

Ayon kay Achim Fock, World Bank acting country director for Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand, milyun-milyong mahihirap na pamilyang Filipino partikular ang mag daily wage earners ang labis na naapektuhan ng pandemic.
