Health workers na tinamaan ng COVID-19, umabot na sa 2,480 – DOH

Iniulat ng Department of Health (DOH) na 28 ang panibagong healthcare workers na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

Sa virtual presser, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergiere na umakyat na sa 2,480 ang bilang ng medical workers na tinamaan ng nakakahawang sakit hanggang May 28.

Sa nasabing bilang, 1,221 ang aktibong kaso kung saan 273 ang asymptomatic, 946 ang mild cases at 2 ang severe.

Narito ang naitalang kaso sa mga sumusunod na health worker:
– Physician o doktor – 695
– Nurse – 905
– Nursing Assistant – 155
– Medical Technologist – 93
– Radiologic Technologist – 46

Nasa 308 namang non-medical staff ang naapektuhan ng nakakahawang sakit.

1,228 naman ang mga naka-recover na health worker sa nakakahawang sakit hanggang May 28.

Sinabi ni Vergeire na paunti na nang paunti ang bilang ng napapaulat na health workers na tinatamaan ng COVID-19.

Dagdag nito, nananatili pa rin sa 31 ang mga pumanaw na medical worker bunsod ng COVID-19.

Simula aniya May 10, wala pang bagong naitatalang nasawing health worker dahil sa pandemiya.
