Pagtatatag ng Medical Reserves Corps, idiniga ni Senator Go

Isinusulong ni Senador Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go ang pagtatatag ng Medical Reserve Corps.

Ito ay para mapadali ang pagresponde ng pamahalaan kapag may nararanasang health emergencies sa bansa.

Sa ilalim ng Senate Bill No. 1451 o “Medical Reserve Corps Act of 2020,” target nitong makalikha ng Medical Reserve Corps na bubuoin ng mga nagtapos sa medisina, nursing, medical technology, at iba pang health-related fields na may lisensya.

Ipinupunto ni Go ang kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa kung saan naging punuan ang mga pribado at pampublikong ospital.

Ayon kay Go, ang kakulangan ng medical personnel ang isa sa mga naging dahilan kung kaya naging mabagal ang pag responde sa COVID-19.

Kapag naging batas ang panukala ni Go, maaring ipatawag ang Medical Reserve Corps para ayudahan ang national governemrnt sa anumang national emergencies.

Ang kaliim ng Department of Health ang mangunguna sa mobilization base na rin sa pakikipagtulungan sa Secretaries of of National Defense, Education, and Interior and Local Government.

“This measure seeks to help local government units all over the country in need of assistance. Kaya naman po the bill proposes for the creation of mobilization centers in each province and city as many as needed based on the number and geographical distribution of the Corps, where they will report in case of deployment,” pahayag ni Go.
