WATCH: Medialdea sa COVID-19 sa Pilipinas: “Wala pa tayo sa second wave”

Inihayag ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na wala pa sa second wave ang COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

Ito ay matapos sabihin ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa pagdinig ng Senado na nasa second wave na ang nakakahawang sakit sa bansa.

“That we will have to see. Because as far as I know, wala pa tayo sa second wave,” pahayag ni Medialdea.

Aniya, isa sa posibleng dahilan nito ang malakas na pagdarasal ng taumbayan para masugpo ang pandemya.

“Eh dinadasal natin. Malakas ho siguro tayo magdasal. ‘Wag nating i-expect, ‘wag nating asahan pwede ba,” dagdag pa nito.

Samantala, sinabi naman ni Senator Christopher “Bong” Go na mahihirapan ang bansa kung nasa second wave na ang COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

“Mahirapan tayo pag nasa second wave,” ani Go.

Matatandaang sinabi ni Duque na batay sa mga epidemiologist, nangyari ang first wave ng nakakahawang sakit noong Enero kung kailan naitala ang unang tatlong COVID-19 cases sa Chinese nationals mula Wuhan City.
