US, nagpadala ng dagdag na P10-M halaga ng medical supplies sa Pilipinas

Nagpadala ang gobyerno ng Estado Unidos ng karagdagang $203,000 o P10 milyong halaga ng medical supplies para sa healthcare workers sa Pilipinas.

Ayon sa U.S. Embassy sa Pilipinas, ipinadala ng service members mula sa U.S. Army, Marines, at Air Force ang personal protective equipment (PPE) at medical supplies sa ilang ospital sa 10 probinsya sa buong bansa.

Sinabi ng embahada na layon nilang suportahan ang medical workers na lumalaban sa COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

Katuwang anila sa pagpapadala ng medical supplies ang Philippine Coast Guard, Army, Marines, at Air Force.

Inaasahan anilang maipapadala ang medical supplies sa 14 medical clinics, ospital at local department ng DOH sa bahagi ng Palawan, Isabela, Tarlac, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, Sulu, Zamboanga del Sur, Maguindanao, at Basilan.

Kabilang sa mga ipinadalang medical supplies ay disposable gloves, masks, medical clothing, ilang uri ng face protection, at kagamitan tulad ng infrared thermometers.

Aabot na sa humigit-kumulang $15.5 million o P780 milyon ang naibigay na donasyon ng U.S. government sa Pilipinas sa gitna ng COVID-19 crisis.

“This joint U.S.-Philippine operation builds on decades of bilateral military cooperation in counterterrorism, humanitarian relief, maritime security, and many other fields,” pahayag pa ng embahada.
