2,099 OFWs naisailalim na sa COVID-19 test ng Coast Guard

Umabot na sa 2,099 na Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) ang naisailalim sa COVID-19 test ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Isinagawa ng mga tauhan ng PCG Medical Team ang tests sa mga quarantine facilities sa Luzon simula noong May 2 hanggang May 4.

Gamit ng Coast Guard ang RT-PCR Test.

Una nang inanunsyo ni PCG Commandant, Admiral Joel Garcia na magsasagawa ang PCG Medical Team ng RT-PCR Testing sa mga OFWs para mapabilis ang kanilang pag-uwi sa kani-kanilang pamilya.

Sa sandaling makuhanan ng swab ay lalabas ang resulta ng test sa loob ng dalawang araw.

Kung negatibo ang resulta ay aasistihan sila ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) para makauwi.

Pakiusap ni Admiral Garcia sa mga OFWs, manatili sa kanilang designated quarantine room habang hinihintay ang resulta ng test at ang kanilang quarantine clearance sa oras na makumpirmang negatibo sila sa banta ng COVID-19.
