Red Cross may mga makina, pero kulang sa samples para mai-test

Mayroon nang 12 makina ang Philippine Red Cross sa Metro Manila para makapagsagawa ng COVID-19 test.

Ayon ay Red Cross Chairman at Senator Richard Gordon, sa Mandaluyong mayroon silang 8 makina na kayang makapagproseso ng 8,000 swab samples kada araw.

Mayroon ding 4 pang makina sa Port Area sa Maynila na kaya namang makapagproseso ng 4,000 swab samples kada araw.

Kung tutuusin ayon kay Gordon, kaya nang makapagproseso ng 12,000 samples kada araw ng Red Cross.

Gayunman, sa ngayon ang average ng naisasagawang COVID-19 test ng Red Cross ay 1,000 lang kada araw.

Ito ay dahil sa kulang aniya ang swab samples na kanilang natatanggap.

“Umaandar ang mga makina pero kulang ang pinapadala (na samples), kailangan namin maghintay kasi dapat 90 samples bawat makina ang ipoproseso,” ayon kay Gordon.

Umapela si Gordon sa mga local government units na ayusin ang sistema sa pagpapadala ng swab samples sa Red Cross para sa mas mabilis na proseso ng testing.
