Repatriation ng Pinoy crew members sa nakadaong na cruise ship sa Nagasaki, Japan inaayos na – DFA
Mahigpit na tinututukan ng Department of Foreign Affairs, sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Embassy sa Tokyo at Philippine Consulate General sa Osaka ang lagay ng mga Filipino crew member na nakasakay sa nakadaong na MV Costa Atlantica cruise ship sa Nagasaki City, Japan.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ng kagawaran na katuwang din ng embahada at konsulado ang POLO at OWWA sa Japan sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa pamunuan ng cruise ship at mga otoridad sa nasabing bansa.,
“The Embassy and the Consulate General, along with the POLO and OWWA in Japan, are working closely with the local authorities and the management of MV Costa Atlantica, to ensure the care, health, safety, and welfare of all Filipinos onboard the ship in accordance with the relevant health and safety protocols currently being enforced by the Japan government in light of the COVID-19 pandemic,” ayon sa DFA.
Sinabi pa ng kagawaran na inaayos na ang planong pag-repatriate sa mga Filipino crew member para matiyak na ligtas silang makakauwi ng Pilipinas.
“Cognizant of the quarantine period and established epidemiological health and safety practices laid down by the Japanese government, the Embassy, the Consulate General, along with the POLO and OWWA in Japan, are likewise in the process of mapping out with the Japan government the arrangements for the safe and orderly repatriation of the Filipino crew members,” dagdag pa ng DFA.
Sa huling datos ng DFA, nasa 1,604 na overseas Filipinos ang tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa 46 bansa at rehiyon.
