Walong staff ng GABMMC, nagpositibo sa COVID-19; ER ng ospital, isinara
Tinamaan ng COVID-19 ang walong medical worker sa Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC) sa Maynila.
Kabilang sa mga nagpositibo sa nakakahawang sakit ay apat na doktor, dalawang nurse, isang radiology technologist at isang medical technologist.
Dahil dito, ipinag-utos ni Mayor Isko Moreno ang pansamantalang pagsasara ng emergency room ng ospital.
Sarado ang emergency room ng GABMMC mula 8:00, Miyerkules ng umaga (April 28) hanggang 7:00 ng umaga ng May 5.
Sinabi ng alkalde na layon nito na mabigyan ng sapat na panahon para sa isasagawang general cleaning at disinfection sa buong ospital.
Ayon kay GABMMC Director Dr. Ted Martin, hindi muna sila tatanggap ng pasyente sa kasagsagan ng closure.
Mananatili naman aniya ang outpatients services, dialysis center at tuloy pa rin ang kanilang pag-accommodate sa mga naka-confine nang pasyente sa ospital.
“The hospital is not on lockdown. We still have admitted patients under our care. All incoming patients will be referred to the other city hospitals with proper coordination. No direct admissions will be entertained,” paliwanag pa nito.
Ang mga surgical and medical case ay ire-refer aniya sa Ospital ng Maynila habang ang OB at Pedia patients naman ay ire-refer sa Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Tondo at Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital.
