Dalawang preso sa Correctional Institution for Women, nasawi dahil sa COVID-19

Pumanaw ang dalawang bilanggo ng Correctional Institution for Women sa Mandaluyong na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Ayon sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), nasawi ang unang pasyente na tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa CIW, Lunes ng hapon (April 27).

Unang na-ospital ang 72-anyos na person deprived of liberty (PDL) patient noong April 13 makaraang makaranas ng sintomas ng pneumonia.

Samantala, natanggap din ng ahensya ang official report mula sa East Avenue Medical Center hinggil sa pagpanaw ng isa pang CIW PDL noong April 21 dahil sa Sepsis, systemic lupus at pneumonia dulot ng COVID-19.

Labas-masok na anila ang pasyente sa EAMC simula noong Pebrero dahil sa systemic lupus, kidney disease at iba pang sakit.

Huli itong na-admit sa ospital noong April 13.

Sa huling datos ng BuCor, 50 bilanggo na ang kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP) at CIW.

Tatlo naman ang napaulat na nasawi dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Samantala, nananatili namang COVID-19 free ang iba pang prison and penal farms sa bansa.
