Kamara tutulong sa palasyo upang ayusin ang 2021 budget

Magiging katuwang ng Malakanyang ang Kamara sa pagbuo ng panukalang 2021 national budget na maglalaman ng mga hakbang ng gobyerno sa magiging sitwasyon pagkatapos ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Nakikipag-usap na ngayon sina Deputy Speaker for Finance LRay Villafuerte at House appropriations committee chairman Eric Yap kay Budget Sec. Wendel Avisado para talakayin ang tungkol sa budget.

Bago ang COVID-19 outbreak noong Disyembre ng nakaraang taon, inindorso ng Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) ang spending program na nagkakahalaga ng P4.6 trillion para sa susunod na taon, mas mataas ng P500 billion kumpara sa pambansang pondo ngayong 2020.

Pero sa virtual meeting ng Defeat Covid-19 Committee kahapon, sinabi ni Ways and Means Committee chairman Joey Salceda na kailangang tapyasan ang DBCC proposal dahil sa inaasahang pagbaba ng kita dahil sa pandemic.

Ayon kay Salceda, imbes na 10-11 percent increase, pwedeng gawin na lang 5-6 percent ang pagtaas sa budget.

Para naman kay Villafuerte, kakailanganin ang reprioritization ng panukalang 2021 budget para matutukan ang pagtugon sa mga problemang dulot ng Covid-19 pandemic.

Pero hindi ito sang-ayon na bawasan ang P4.6 trillion na panukalang pondo ng DBCC dahil pwede naman anya itong punuan sa pamamagitan ng pangungutang.
