Realignment sa confidential at intelligence funds maaring gamiting panlaban sa COVID-19

Iginiit ni ACT Teachers Party-List Rep. France Castro na hindi kailangang mangutang na naman ng administrasyong Duterte para sa kinakailangang pondo sa paglaban sa COVID-19.

Katuwiran ni Castro, meron pang mapagkukunan ng pondo mula sa realignments ng 2020 budget at 2019 continuing appropriations.

Kabilang anya rito ang confidential at intelligence funds na umaabot sa P9.6 billion.

Pinarerepaso rin ng kongresista ang mga programang pang-imprastraktura para mai-reprogram at i-reallocate sa mga pangangailangang medikal at socioeconomic sa gitna ng krisis.

Gayundin, sinabi ng mambabatas na dapat magpatupad muna ang gobyerno ng moratorium sa pagbabayd ng utang.

Ayon kay Castro, tinukoy ni Pang. Duterte sa kanyang unang weekly report na merong
P372.7 billion sa special purpose fund allotments na pwedeng i-realign..kung saan sa pangalawang report ay binanggit nitong P189.9 billion ang nagamit na.

Ibig sabihin, meron pa anyang natitirang P182.8 billion na dapat i-report ng Pangulo sa publiko.
