Higit 1.25-M manggagawa apektado ng ECQ – DOLE

Inanunsiyo ng Department of Labor and Employment o DOLE na higit sa 1.25 milyong empleyado at manggagawa ang apektado ng pagsasara ng kanilang pinagtatrabahuhan o nasa flexible work arrangements.

Ayon kay Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III, kasama sa bilang ang halos 250,000 informal sector workers na nangangailangan ng tulong sa pamamagitan ng Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers Program-Barangay Ko, Bahay ko (TUPAD-BKBK) program.

Sa pinakahuling datos, ang may pinakamaraming nawalan ng trabaho ay sa Metro Manila sa bilang na 246,810, sumunod sa Central Luzon sa 179,875; Calabarzon na may 99,178; Davao Region sa 90,414 at Cagayan Valley na may 75,189; at pang lima sa Central Visayas sa 51,150.

Nabatid na sa nabanggit na bilang, 719,649 ang naapektuhan dahil sa pansamantalang pagsasara ng 31,612 negosyo.

May 10,224 negosyo naman ang nagpapatupad ng flexible work arrangements tulad ng reduction of workdays, work rotation, forced leave at work from home o telecommuting na may 366,404 empleyado o manggagawa.

Karamihan sa mga ito ay sa manufacturing, hotel, restaurants and tourism-related sectors at education.

Sinabi naman ni CAMP program implementer OIC Asec. Dominique Rubia-Tutay na naglabas na sila ng P900 milyon para sa 180,000 empleyado at manggagawa at aniya, P700 milyon pang natitira sa pondo.
