Mass testing muna bago bawiin ang enhanced community quarantine – Sen. Gatchalian

Sinabi ni Senator Win Gatchalian na mababalewala ang ipinatutupad na 30-day enhanced community quarantine o ECQ kung hindi magkakaroon ng mass testing.

Katuwiran nito magmismistulang bulag ang gobyerno kung walang mass testing at dahil hindi alam kung sino ang posibleng may taglay ng nakakamatay na sakit, kakalat lang ito kapag natapos na ang ECQ.

Ito aniya ang dahilan kaya’t pabor siya na mapalawig pa ang ECQ dahil kung sisimulang isagawa ang mass testing sa darating na Abril 14 mangangailangan pa ng hanggang dalawang linggo para malaman ang resulta.

Dagdag pa ni Gatchalian, sa mass testing ay dapat gawin prayoridad ang mga frontliners, persons under monitoring at persons under investigation.

Ayon pa sa senador sa pamamagitan ng mass testing, malalaman kung sino ang mga asymptomatoc carriers na hindi alam na ikinakalat na nila ang sakit.

Ibinahagi ni Gatchalian ang nangyari sa Iceland kung saan nalaman sa resulta ng mass testing na halos kalahati ng mga kaso ay hindi nakitaan ng mga sintomas.
