Pinoy crew member sa Grand Princess, pumanaw dahil sa COVID-19

Pumanaw ang isang Filipino crew member ng MV Grand Princess na nakadaong sa Californiaa bunsod ng COVID-19, ayon sa Philippine Consulate General sa San Francisco.

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni Consul General Henry Bensurto Jr. na nasawi ang Filipino crew member noong April 1.

Nagparating ng pakikiramay ang konsulado sa naiwang pamilya at mahal sa buhay ng nasawing crew member.

“We salute him for his dedication to his job and for the sacrifices that he had made for his family,” ayon sa konsulado.

Patuloy namang makikipag-ugnayan ang konsulado sa mga otoridad para mga labi ng Filipino crew member.

“The Consulate General will continute to engage and coordinate with U.S. authorities and Carnival Corp. for the health and welfare of the remaining Filipino crew members and their eventual repatriation back to the Philippines,” dagdag pa nito.
