Mayor Sotto sa paghingi ng paliwanag ng NBI: “Hindi po illegal magbigay ng opinyon”

“Hindi po illegal magbigay ng opinyon:

Ito ang naging pahayag ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto sa ipinadalang summon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Pinagpapaliwanag kasi ng NBI Anti-Graft Division ukol sa umano’y paglabag sa Republic Act 11469 o “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.”

Ayon sa alkalde, sumunod ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Pasig sa lahat ng direktiba kasunod ng ipinatupad na enhanced community quarantine bunsod ng COVID-19 outbreak.

Hirit pa ni Sotto, “at alam kaya nila na March 24 naging batas ang Bayanihan Act?”

Binigyan si Sotto ng NBI ng hanggang April 7 bandang 10:00 ng umaga para makapagsumite ng kaniyang paliwanag.
