Doktor arestado matapos magbenta ng overpriced na thermal scanner

Arestado ng mga ahente ng National Bureau of Investigation o NBI ang isang doktor dahil sa pagbebenta ng overpriced o sobrang mahal na thermal scanners.

Ayon kay Justice Usec. Markk Perete, batay sa ibinigay na impormasyon ng NBI, ang suspek ay kinilalang si Dr. Cedric John De Castro, isang medical doctor.

Siya ay nahuli ng NBI-Special Action Unit sa isang operasyon kahapon, March 24, 2020.

Batay sa NBI, nagbebenta raw ang naturang doktor ng thermal scanners sa halagang P9,500 kada piraso.

Pero ang mga nasabing thermal scanners ay sinasabing donasyon sa suspek, bilang siya ang presidente umano ng Lion’s Club, New Manila.

Ayon sa NBI, ibinebenta ni De Castro ang kabuuang 150 units ng thermal scanners sa halagang P1.2 million. Gayung ang thermal scanners ay nagkakahalaga lamang dapat ng P800 hanggang P1,500 bawat piraso.

Ang doktor ay dinala na sa NBI main office para booking procedures at dadalhin sa Quezon City Prosecutor’s office para maisalang inquest ngayong araw.

Siya ay mahaharap sa kasong profiteering at hoarding.
