Travel ban sa lahat ng biyahero mula Iran, Italy ipinatupad ng BI

Ipinatupad ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang travel restrictions sa mga biyahe mula Iran at Italy.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, ito ay bahagi ng pagtalima sa direktiba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kasunod ng pagtataas sa Code Red Sub-level 2 ng sakit sa bansa.

Epektibo aniya ang travel restrictions mula Iran at Italy simula 12:00 ng madaling-araw ng March 16.

“Passengers coming from, or have transited through Iran and Italy in the last fourteen days, shall be required to present a medical certificate issued by competent medical authorities within the last 48 hours prior to arrival in the country certifying that they are COVID-2019 free,” ani Morente.

Kinakailangan aniyang magpakita ng mga pasahero ng medical certificate at saka ire-refer sa Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) para sumailalim sa 14-day mandatory quarantine.

Kung hindi makakapagpakita ng medical certificate, hindi aniya papayagang makapasok ang pasahero ng bansa.

Hindi naman kabilang sa travel restriction ang mga Filipino kasama ang dayuhang asawa at anak, may hawak na permanent resident visas, at mga miyembro ng diplomatic corps.

Nilinaw naman ni Morente na kahit exempted sa travel ban, kailangan pa ring sumailalim sa quarantine ng mga ito.

Epektibo pa rin ang travel restrictions mula at papunta sa China, Hong Kong, Macau, at North Gyeongsang kabilang ang Daegu at Cheongdo.

“Bear with us as we implement these restrictions, for everyone’s health and safety,” pakiusap naman sa publiko ni Morente.
