Proseso sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN, hindi mamadaliin – Sen. Sotto
Inihayag ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na hindi mamadaliin ang proseso sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni Sotto na hindi maaaring gumawa ng mga hakbang para mapabilis ang proseso nito.
Mananatili rin aniya ang “unbiased treatment” hindi lamang sa ABS-CBN kundi maging sa iba pang organisasyon o kumpanya.
Dagdag pa ng senador, nahalal sila para protektahan ang interes ng taumbayan at hindi lamang sa interes ng iilan.
Matatandaang isinagawa ng Senate public services committee ang unang pagdinig sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN at iba pang broadcasting company noong February 24.
Nakatakdang mag-expire ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN sa May 4.
