Temporary travel ban sa lahat ng biyahero mula Hubei Province ipatutupad na ng Pilipinas – Duque
Kinumpirma ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na magpapatupad na ang bansa ng temporary travel restrictions sa lahat ng turista mula sa Hubei Province.
Sa panayam ng Radyo Inquirer, sinabi ni Duque na magpupulong ang Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases ngayong araw (Jan. 31)
Pag-uusapan sa pulong ang ipatutupad na travel ban hindi lamang sa mga biyahero mula sa Wuhan City kundi maging sa mga turista mula sa iba pang bahagi ng Hubei Province.
Maari din ayon kay Duque na palawigin ang travel restrictions sa iba pang mga lugar sa mundo na mayroong kumpirmadong kaso ng novel coronavirus.
“pag-uusapan ngayon sa meeting ko with inter-agency task force, we will impose tempo travel rest sa mga travelers from Hubei, and possibe din ‘yung other provinces na medyo malaki-laki ang bilang ng kaso,” ayon kay Duque.
Ayon kay Duque, hindi siya sang-ayon sa naging pasya ng World Health Organizations (WHO) na hindi magpatupad ng travel restrictions.
Dahil dito, ang pamahalaan na mismo ng Pilipinas ang gagawa ng hakbang para hindi na kumalat pa ang kaso ng 2019 nCoV sa bansa.
Sinabi ni Duque na ginawa naman ng health authorities ang lahat para maawat na mapasok ang Pilipinas ng nCoV pero mayroon pa ring nakalusot.
