DOH inirekomenda ang pag-ban ng mga biyahe patungong Hubei, China

Inirekomenda ng Department of Health (DOH) ang pag-ban ng mga biyahe patungong Hubei province sa China.

Ito ay matapos kumpirmahin ng kagawaran ang unang kaso ng 2019-novel coronavirus o nCoV sa Pilipinas.

Sa Wuhan na capital city ng Hubei province nagsimula ang nasabing virus.

Sa press briefing, sinabi ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na maaaring magpatupad ng travel restriction sa iba pang lugar depende sa isasagawang assessment ng World Health Organization (WHO).

Dagdag pa ng kalihim, mananatili nasa high alert ang Bureau of Quarantine para sa mas istriktong border surveillance.

Isang 38-anyos na babaeng Chinese ang nagpositibo sa coronavirus, base sa isinagawang laboratory test sa Australia.
