CAAP, sinuspinde ang mga biyahe sa NAIA dahil sa pagputok ng Bulkang Taal

Sinuspinde ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ang mga biyahe sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), araw ng Linggo.

Ito ay bunsod ng volcanic ash clouds na humaharang sa air traffic ways dulot ng phreatic eruption ng Bulkang Taal.

Ayon sa CAAP, sinuspinde ang air activities sa NAIA malapit sa Pasay City.

Naglabas ang CAAP ng NOTAM (notice to airmen) B0090/20 at B0089/20 na nagsususpinde ng arrival mula January 12 simula 7:00 ng gabi hanggang 11:00 ng
gabi at departure mula January 12 simula 6:22 ng gabi hanggang 11:00 ng gabi.

Pansamantalang isinara ang paliparan matapos mapaulat ang volcanic ash clouds na umaabot na sa 50,000 feet.

Sa ngayon, patuloy ang ugnayan ng mga Aviation authority sa posibleng pag- redirect ng lahat ng NAIA arriving flights sa Clark International Airport sa Pampanga.

Sina CAAP Director General Jim Sydiongco at Deputy Director General Don Mendoza ay nasa Philippine Air Traffic Management Center (ATMC) na para bumuo
ng plano sa airway situation sa Maynila.
