Pumanaw na sa edad na 77 ang dating commissioner ng NBA na si David Stern.

Sumailalim si Stern sa emergency surgery.

Brain hemorrgahe ang dahilan ng pagkasawi ni Stern.

Noong panahon ng panunungkulan ni Stern bialng NBA commissioner mula 1984 hanggang 2014 ay kasagsagan ng kasikatan ng liga.

Nagpaabot naman ng pakikiramay sa pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay ni Stern ang kasalukuyang commissioner ng NBA na si Adam Silver.
