Pay rules sa January 1, New Year’s Day, regular holiday

Nagpaalala ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa mga pribadong employers na sumunod sa holiday pay rules para sa araw ng Miyerkules, January 1, 2020, Bagong Taon – isang regular holiday.

Ayon sa pahayag ng DOLE Linggo ng gabi, dapat na mabayaran ng mga employers ang mga papasok na manggagawa ng 200 percent ng kanilang sweldo para sa unang walong oras nilang trabaho.

Ang trabaho namang sumobra sa walong oras ay kinakailangang bayaran ng dagdag na 30 percent kada oras ng trabaho.

Kapag ang empleyado naman ay nagtrabaho pa rin kahit na araw ng pahinga at holiday, kailangan siyang mabayaran ng dagdag na 30 percent ng kanyang 200 percent daily rate.

Kung ang manggagawa ay hindi nagtrabaho sa January 1 ay makatatanggap pa rin siya ng 100 percent ng kanyang sahod.

Ang pay rules para sa Bagong Taon ay nakasaad sa Labor Advisory No. 13 Series of 2019 na inilabas ni DOLE Sec. Silvestre Bello III alinsunod sa Proclamation No. 845 na nilagdaan ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte noong November 15, 2019.
