12 umano’y biktima ng human trafficking, nasagip sa Zamboanga City

Nasagip ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang 12 hinihinalang biktima ng human trafficking sa Zamboanga International Seaport.

Ayon kay Grifton Medina, hepe ng BI Port Operations, naharang ang 12 sa nasabing pantalan noong December 17.

Pasakay sana sila sa M/V Antonia patungong Sabah, Malaysia.

Batay naman sa ulat ni BI-ZIS head supervisor Ibrahim Lim, hindi maipaliwanag ng mga biktima kung bakit sila aalis ng Zamboanga at kung bakit pupunta sa Sabah.

Kasunod nito, muling hinikayat ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente ang kanilang mga tauhan na manatiling alerto ngayong panahon ng Kapaskuhan.
