Panibagong P16M na multa ipinataw ng Philippine Competition Commission sa Grab

Pinatawan ng milyun-milyong pisong halaga ng multa ng Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) ang Grab.

Ito ay dahil sa sobra-sobrang paniningil ng pamasahe ng ride-hailing app mula May 11 hanggang August 10.

sa P16.15 million na penalty, ₱14.15 million ang kailangang ibalik ng Grab sa mga pasahero nito.

Ayon sa PCC, napatunayan nilang sobra-sobra ang paniningil ng pamasahe ng Grab lalo pa at wala itong kakumpetensya.

Pinatawan din ng PCC ng dagdag na P2 million na penalty ang Grab dahil nakitaan nito ng pagtaas ng insidente ng driver cancellations ang ride-hailing app.

Base sa imbestigasyon ng PCC, umabot sa 7.76 percent ng kabuuang bilang bookings ang kinansela ng Grab drivers.

Lagpas ito sa pangako ng Grab na panatilihin lang sa 5 percent ang kanselasyon.

Una rito, nagpataw na ang PCC ng P23.45 million na multa sa Grab para sa sobra-sobrang pagpapataw ng pamasahe mula February hanggang May 2019.
